Early Voting

Early voting began today at 8:00 AM. James and I voted early. We have never done that before. AND, I've never voted in the Primaries. I did this year. All Americans (at least those who are old enough to understand and vote) are concerned for the state of our Country. I pray that everyone prays before voting and asks God for His guidance. I only voted for offices that I knew about. If I knew nothing of the persons running for office, I did not vote. I have voted straight tickets in the past. This year I could not do that.

My Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for my Country, the United States of America. I pray that You have not forgotten us, although some of us have forgotten and even denied You. Forgive our sins, Father. We need You in leadership of our lives first and then we need You in leadership of our Country. I have always been proud to be an American and I still am. I just fear that all the reasons we have been proud in the past will no longer be. Please, do not turn Your back on us now. I pray for our President today and I pray for the Presidents to come. I pray that You guide them. Give wisdom -- YOUR wisdom. Amen

The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord,

like the rivers of water;

He turns it wherever He wishes.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,

but the Lord weighs the hearts.

Proverbs 21:1 & 2
