Day 6 - Love for God's Word
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening our eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:7-11 (NIV)
(In the scriptures above, I believe law, testimony, statutes, commandment, judgement are all referring to HIS WORD. I believe the fear of the Lord is ultimate reverence.)
Oh, Lord, in the name of Jesus, I pray that my children have an insatiable hunger for Your Word. May they regard Your Word in reverence. Your Word is more precious than gold and sweeter than honey. You give us instruction with Your Word and You give us peace with Your Word. Give my children a love for Your Word. Lord, Your Word teaches us that if we keep Your Words there is great reward. I want and pray for great reward for all my children. Amen.
